The SLS most recently earned the AUTO BILD Design Award for 2010, chosen by hundreds of thousands of readers of German automotive magazine, Auto Bild. It also won Plus X awards for its high quality and design. The Plus X Awards are determined by a panel of 144 jurors from 32 countries, who judge over 1,000 products and choose the best based on innovation, quality, design, ease of operation and functionality, ergonomics and ecology.
Though too numerous to mention them all, additional accolades for the 2011 Mercedes SLS also include "Best New Product - 2009" at the Frankfurt International Motor Show, "GT Car of the Year" from Top Gear, and "Best Dream Machine" from MotorWeek TV's Driver's Choice Awards.
